image on menu-item by hover

I see with this solution (perfect on pc) everything is fine. I notice on IPAD landscape a problem: you must click twice on a menu-item before the page is loaded. First time to see the image, second time to get the page.

How to solve?
Note: if it can't be solved, can i disable the hover on IPAD landscape only, so that there is only the active image above the menu-item?

Really sorry, I thought I answered you.
We have carefully checked on Ipad, when the first click pop-up menu and click 2nd will reload the page. that is true. I do not understand how you want.
If the first click reloads the page, the menu will not drop out that is not true.
you may refer to other menus and hope you can understand this problem. Thanks

I explain it in detail.
On ipad Landscape i click on 'Project'. Then the submenu's are visible now. That's ok. Now i click on 'Project 2' -> First click nothing happens. Second click the page reload to Project 2.
