Get Menu help

Hi, I have updated a site to the latest version of Joomla, JomSocial and EasyBlog and the only issue I have is finding the right menu to display. Please can you help me? The error message relates to the index file of the template and the code states:

70 $itemid = JRequest::getVar('Itemid');
71 $menu = &JSite::getMenu();
72 $active = $menu->getItem($itemid);
73 $params = $menu->getParams( $active->id );

The updated mirror site is www.allinspired.co.uk/em and the old site is at www.executive,muslim.com (which works fine but is running very old Joomla and components).

Please can you help as this is the only thing that prevents the site from working correctly?
