Hi there,

I tried using the realty search module to test to see if it came up with search results and it comes up with nothing.

Can this be resolved?

Hi emil,
About your problem, I figured out the cause.
Because value price and value length are not right. So, it can't show results. I changed it help you.
Hope this help you.
Thanks.

Hi Sang,

I am still have a problem. The problem is when I adjust those scale parameters (price , length) they don't do anything as far as narrowing down the search results. I could set the length to 20ft by 60 feet and still the Zenith 133ft boat comes up. Also with the price, I can set it to 200,000$ - 400,000$ and still shows both listings.

Can you help.

Hi emil,
I checked your problem. When I select value wrong, I see the results is not found. You can recheck it? I think it worked fine.
Thanks.

Hi Sang,

I have noticed two problems.

The first:

I have two yachts I am listing. one is 53ft for 200,000$ and another that is 133ft that is 19,000,000$. Now I have tried adjusting the "price" and "length" adjustable search options to try to see if it can single out each yacht. So I set the reader to 40 - 50 ft and 100,000 - 200,000$ and I come up with no results. Also when I set the markers to 100,000,000 - 10,000,000$ I see both yachts when only 1 yacht is in that range.

Second problem.

The markers are not adjusted evenly with the numbers. I start from zero at the start then about 1/8 of the way up it goes to 1,000,000 then it stays in the 10,000,000 million range for the rest of the length of the marker, I need the marker to be set evenly, as most yachts I will be selling will be under the million dollar range.

The same problem exists with the length as well.

Regards,

Emil

Hi emil,
About your problem:
1) I changed value price and value length. The problem is you don't fill out to option length in backend. (you go to: Components -> JUX Real Estate -> Realties -> choose 1 realty - > Tab Details Infor -> Length). I check all the case, and it show right results.
2) You go to backend -> module search. You will see:
- Price: example 200000,20000000 is mean min price is 200.000$ and max price is 20.000.000$
- Start - End Price: 200000,20000000 is mean value start is 200.000$ and value end is 20.000.000$
Note: Value start of price >= min price, value end of price <= max price.
The same problem with length.
Hope this help you.
Thanks.

I dont think you understand.

I want the search scale for length to be from 0 to 180(ft) but the two boats or "realtys" I currently am listing are 53ft and 133ft. Now in the future I may sell ones that are 20ft, I may sell boats that are 150ft but for now I just have those two.

The problem I was having was that when I set the markers to 40ft and 110Ft as a test, the search still came up with both of my boats, when really it should have only came up with 1 the 53ft as that is in the category...I have re-adjusted it and I believe it now works.

Now for the price ratio:

If you set the marker to 1000 and you start to move it towards 20,000,000 million you will notice that it jumps through 1000 - 500,000 very quickly on the dials then it slowly goes through 10,000,000 - 20,000,000. My goal is to make it go slowly through 1000 - 2,000,000 (as this will be the normal price range of boats I am selling) and then quickly through 3,000,000 - 20,000,000 million as this does not need to be so percise...

Like 1000, 5000, 10000,15000,20000,30000,50000,100000,250000,300000,500000,750000,1000000,2000000,300000,4000000,5000000,6000000,7000000....etc.

Not like:
1000,171931,257397,342863,428329,567555,765666,954544,1232233,2343434,33243434,3545454,3785656,4333233,4573454,4809898,54344344,5656565,58090990,5909099,6101011

I hope this helps you understand. The million dollar range can be "BROAD" but the 1000 - 2000,000 needs to precise as this is going to be the majority of prices for my listings. The millions can jump by each million but the hundred thousands need to be a spot on the scale...If you are having trouble understanding what I mean, try adjusting the price from the 1000 each click, you will notice it jumps to high of price.

Hope you can help.

Regards,

Emil

Hi Sang,

I have finally came up with a design for the realty search that fits my website and works for the yacht sales industry.

My design is like this www.jansenyachts.com/images/HOWIWANTIT.jpg

The key element I would like is the a third ratio bar created that states the "year" of the vessel from 1970 - 2017.

The other is the drop down options I want limited to "new/Used" (both, used, new). Then I want Type (Power, sail, boat house, commercial, slip) Then I want Countries (all countries, Canada, United States)

I want all of these elements centered on the module to make it look nice and uniform.(fonts can stay as they are)

Can you guide me into creating this as this will be a key feature in my business website.

If there is any way I can make this easier and allow you to work less please tell me.

Kind regards,

Thanks Sang.
