Featured first ordering is not working for categories

I m having an issue where the ordering of all categories seems to default to Published date, regardless of the ordering option I select against the category.

Is this a bug - or am I missing something?

About your question about order of category. If you use order in homepage you can go to menu item home.
At tab options you can see config item ordering. Let's change order items here!

Thanks for the reply - the menu doesn't seem to maintain the order. It always defaults to "Inherit from Category"

So Menu Manager -> menu -> menu item -> "options" tab -> Item ordering

So currently I can only set the order against the K2 categories -> Edit category -> Other Layout options -> Item ordering

Is there a way to default the ordering in the model?

K2 have many configs: Global->Category->Item->Menu
So in this case with jux fashion you can change order in MENU as i said
You can change item ordering but notice here we use multi category. So you must change it at options for multi category selection at bottom of page
