small white box showing up in slideshow - related to captions, but captions are off

I have turned captions off - but there is still a small opaque white box showing wherever I position the captions - top left, bottom right. Currently it is in the bottom right and fades in and out between slides. See here: www.aseafaringmaiden.com/2015

   display: none! important;
}
