We use the module with Joomla category.
We have a page with the module with no default filter but we need to create links from other pages to this page but with a filter on a specific category already apply. We have quiclky look how to "transfer" this information from the link to the page but can't find a easy/quick answer.
Your answer could be some code or other technical trick we can handle it

But i still think your module could have a default categorythat could be selected by an option in back office based on the categories selected previously.
