The following steps are to help you make a site look like our demo site using JUX Template:

1. Get to know your template:

- Check the template’s release article to know the general template’s information such as template’s version, included extensions, T3 framework version, live demo, update/change log, bug fixing… To check template’s release article, go to Update (Resources section).
- Check the included extensions in download folder. This is to ensure you’ll know them before installing & configuring required extensions one by one.

Step 1: Install Template
Install the template and make it default template. The template will install with all default settings as in demo site. Configure template parameters once the complete set up is done.

Does not look like Demo Site?
After installing template, if you compare with the demo site and see yours are not like demo site:
1. There are many modules/plugins used in our template demo and unless those are installed and configured, the site won’t look like demo site. Please check the download folder for the template for included extensions and also in the article release page (which mentioned above)
2. Demo content is missing, especially the images. Please note that the images can be of specific size for example the slideshow module will require specific sizes of images. For example in Nozix template, Noo Slideshow requires image’s size of 1048x500px.
3. To use the demo images, download the Quickstart package, unzip it, then install Quickstart and you’ll have all data like in our demo.
4. Frontpage layout for articles. This will also be different for each template. You need to make sure that the main menu on homepage is configured correctly for the number of intro articles, links, and so on. Refer to the screenshots in the user guide.

Step 2: Install & Configure the included Extensions (modules/plugins/components):

1. Install the modules first.

• It is important to note that if you are not using the quickstart the modules will install with default settings which are way different from those used with the demo site.
• To help with this, we provide screenshots of backend settings of each module from the demo site for your reference. So, all you have to do is install the module, then check the userguide for its settings screenshot and replicate the same in your site.

Do this for all the included modules. DO NOT try different settings at this stage please. Complete the setup and then tweak the settings.

2. Custom HTML Modules:

• If you are trying to configure Custom HTML modules, then you will need to copy the exact code from the setting screenshot or from quickstart installation. Please remember, we use special HTML tags and div classes for the layout. So, simply typing your content may not be sufficient all the time.

3. Install the plugins

• As with the case of modules, the plugins will install with their default settings, which again would be way different from the settings used in the demo site.
• So, refer to the setting screenshot in the userguide and replicate the same for your site.

Now comes the important part.

• You will need to assign the modules for menu items, since the menu items would be different for your site, you will need to assign the modules as per your site pages.

Mega Menu Configuration:

If you are new to mega menu, then it is advised to install quickstart on your localhost and refer to each link for the settings, We are sure that it would be one time process and next time it would be easier for you to configure it.

Look at your site now. It should look same as the demo site. Now you can try to tweak the settings in the template / modules/ plugins to suit your taste.

Good luck ;)

Hello there!
1. I am trying to install

\unzip1st_jux_times 1.0.2\Joomla 3 Package\Quickstart\juxtpl_times_quickstart.zip

with Joomla Update and after it installs I get this error message:
"Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Failed to start the session" and can't use anything and have to install everything from the beginning.

2. Also I was interested in installing the jux_news_wall1.3.2 template, but although is says that install was successful, I can't find anywhere the template to activate it as default.

Hi
Thank you for feedback us
package quickstart is a pre-packaged interface with demo like interface
With this package, you can not install it as an extension but you just need to extract it, which contains all the folders and files as a demo site,
After unpacking you access to that folder, run it try on local you will see some steps to complete it can be installed and displayed as demo site.
Again, I think you tried it on local. Unpack the package and use the browser to access it
Hope you understand
THanks

Best Regards

Hello there!
Indeed, I was doing it wrong. I was trying to install it at the Extensions menu, then with Joomla Update. Thank you! Now all it's ok.
Anyway for every beginner like me in Joomla you must do all most EXACLTY how you do when you install a new Joomla website locally or online. Just the installer won't be the Joomla one, but the Akeeba interface, if I am not wrong. But again it's easy to do. Good day to all!
